Visit the impressive and historic 15th century renaissance castle located just a stone’s throw away from a mighty Đula’s Abyss (named after a local legend involving a tragic love affair) overlooking a spooky subterranean river gorge. Famous for having been used as a place of residence by a leading Croatian noble family known as the House of Frankopan, the Castle displays an impressive collection of region’s antique weaponry, heritage, and mountaineering and climbing equipment. In a memorial room for Ivana Brlić Mažuranić (an internationally renowned Croatian fairy-tale writer), learn about the area’s magical legends, folktales, and fairy tales.
